Nizar Khan is a multidisciplinary designer and recent graduate from Ravensbourne University. Key areas and themes of interest involve urban culture/ aesthetics, music, and history which are often reflected in his work. His passion for experimentation allows him to produce compelling works across a variety of mediums.

Bossman ZineIn support of his dissertation titled “How are South Asians Represented?”, Khan produced a zine which serves the purpose of being an outlet, exploration and celebration of South Asians and their culture. Khan researched, designed and produced articles and spreads, featuring content such as music, history, art and much more.

Archive814Website layout and branding. Inspired by the idea of exploration maps play a huge influence in this website, providing a functional system for layout, navigation, and categorisation. The visual system provides categorisation and navigational guides through the development and implementation of abstract glyphs, inspired by the typographic forms found within map icons/ legends/ keys. The website features a topographic map and coordinate system. Each campaign/ project’s respective glyph is plotted on the map, the user is able to hover or click on them to discover more. The glyph + coordinate is used in conjunction with ARCHIVE814’s design language, it is possible to reference it on different platforms.
Virtual VandalIs a web based application that simulates Graffiti. It is developed with p5.js library (JavaScript). Virtual Vandal is a legal exploration of an illegal activity.
