Monica Masnita
Monica Masnita is a third-year Fashion and digital student at Ravensbourne University, specialising in womenswear. During the fashion design course study, she has developed a creative approach towards draping and pattern cutting.
In her creations she is seeking to express femininity by highlighting silhouette and body contour accompanied by the infrastructural drape. The realisation of her creations takes much time and patience.
Having the opportunity to learn digital fashion at Ravensbourne was a highlight of her studies; using software like CLO 3D for virtual prototyping made the process much more sustainable, saving time and money on printing and reducing textile waste.
Furthermore, by creating the digital environment in Cinema 4D, she was able to communicate her concept with the infinite freedom of creativity and ideas, being able to portray virtually, through the environment and the outfits, a utopian world 'The Tale of Tomorrow' for the Graduate Collection.
