Kymani N’Tim-Johnson

Kymani is a multidisciplinary graphic designer from South London who enjoys telling stories and solving problems through design. He uses different mediums and techniques to give each project a unique feel with a cultural touch. Kymani has a passion for editorial design, branding, illustration, motion and 3D design. He is eager to learn as much as he can from others and to expand his knowledge by looking into different creative fields.

Kymani wants to bring the underrepresented to light by exploring new cultures and people, promoting equality, diversity and things that matter to the everyday person. It is Kymani's desire to make an impact wherever he goes, creating positive change.

The Art Of Rebellion For his Final Major Project Kymani looked into how martial arts have impacted black culture along with their cultural significance. The title of the book comes from martial arts such as capoeira which is rooted in fighting oppression and rebellion for freedom. Looking into the effect martial arts have had on people and what it means to us as individuals, interviewing himself and sharing others' stories. Kymani also created an animation to show these different martial arts in action, celebrating people’s experiences and looking at the impact of martial arts on lack of culture.
Martial Art's in ActionKymani created an animation based on martial arts such as Capoeira and Tire Machete. Using photoshop frame by frame, he was able to reveal just how unique their movements are.
Can You Trust AI?This website looks into AI Bias specifically facial recognition to identify members of the public, focusing on how it has effected peoples lives, leading to wrongful arrests and discrimination.
