Khizran Khan

As a recent graduate with a degree in Interior Design Environment Architectures and a passion for design, Khizran Khan is excited about the opportunity to apply her skills and knowledge to real-world projects and to learn from experienced professionals in the field. Khizran has a keen eye for aesthetics and a deep understanding of how to balance form and function in architectural design. Khizran is skilled in communicating design concepts through sketches, renderings, and presentations. She believes that good interior design can have a profound impact on people's lives, and is enthusiastic about the opportunity to make a positive difference through her work. Her Final Major Project, “Amid Ruin and Rebirth’, is a project that focuses on the future of dwelling and importance of well-being and nurturing the future generation. The project revolves around providing alternative birthing methods to marginalised communities, as well as creating an experimental design and a programme that accommodates mothers through this life-changing journey.

Amid Ruin and Rebirth - The Proposal
Amid Ruin and Rebirth - The Proposal This project provides all the facilities that enable new parents and young families to be supported. It focuses on health and raising the next generation of children (and parents) in a nurturing and educational environment. The proposal is mixed-use, renovation, adaptive re-use project. The programmes consist of: a birth centre, check-up/exam rooms, a gym/group exercise area, children’s nursery and new-build, assisted living co-houses.
