Annaleise Carle
Annaleise Carle is an enthusiastic, open minded graphic designer who loves engaging with image based experimentation. Carle has an empathic, hands on approach and is eager to explore the possibilities of design. She is keen to develop her craft with the help of fellow creatives, using the inspiration of others and outside sources to drive her creativity.

Melting Mood – Carle kept a bullet journal to discover if breaking down the hours of her day-to-day life and routine into a grid, grading system, would increase her sense of mindfulness, or if instead it would increase her personal struggle with her hyper consciousness of time. On reflection Carle found the experience of documenting her mood every hour counter productive. Using her research on artists such as Daniel Eatock and Olafur Eliasson and her bullet journalling experience, she decided to re-document her journal in colour coded ice, focusing on the concept of “wasted time”. Freezing all of the hours of her day into cubes of ice just to document and record them melting away in front of her.

Photographic experimental piece.

Melting – Ice clock melting is an experiment by Carle to then distort the stills and transform them into a transitional poster to run along side her first experimental, photo based poster.

A further development of the melting ice clock, a stop motion interpretation.
