Angelika Olejarka

Angelika Olejarka is an ambitious and hardworking individual with an acute sense of creativity. With the goal of sustainable living, her priority as an interior designer and environment designer is to accommodate existing communities and the surrounding natural environment, including the wildlife. She strongly believes that every design must start on a piece of paper and develop through a process of sketching. Her desire and ambition have been demonstrated in every project through multiple design ideas and interventions. She always pays attention to every detail and ensures that the proposed places are welcoming to everyone. Her aim while designing is to achieve an unforgettable experience through an emotional impact from each space.

Her Final Major Project is a design for a place that welcomes everyone regardless of religion, despite being situated within the existing Mary's Church in Lewisham. Her aim was to create a place where people can escape from their daily duties or find someone with whom they can talk. She uses curvy shapes to create a labyrinth in the spaces, arousing curiosity and generating a desire to see more. She also recognises the importance of local communities and the personal need for places to sit and relax. The project is connected to the surrounding park, with plants being used to create a peaceful space. Her range of skills shows her passion for change towards a better way of living.
