Aisha Abdi
Aisha Abdi's Final Major Project explores the idea of play through creating a space that encourages playful behaviour amongst teenagers and adults through sensory experiences. It aims to disrupt the conventional perception of what play means and who is entitled to play. The resulting cushioned outdoor seating area serves multiple purposes, including socialising, relaxation, and play. The incorporation of cushion blocks in the centre promotes creativity, while the colourful roof, consisting of overlapping layers of different hues, creates dynamic and bold shadows.
Aisha is progressing to an undergraduate degree in Architecture.
